Lesson 53 of 64
Store content & customers
Track CRM leads, notes and follow-ups
Give a lead an owner, a clear next action and a record of customer conversations.
Before you begin
Check CRM access and identify the lead source and responsible team member.
Step by step
- Open CRM and search existing leads or customers before adding another enquiry.
- Record contact details, lead source, interest and estimated value where useful.
- Assign the lead to a permitted team member and set the next follow-up time.
- Add relevant notes or activities against the correct lead or customer. Review available segments for grouping contacts.
- Update the outcome and next action after follow-up. Record conversion or loss using the available status fields and reasons.
Check the result
The lead should show a responsible person, current status and meaningful follow-up history.
Common question
Is a CRM lead a paid order?
No. Verify orders and receipts in their operational modules rather than counting lead value as collected revenue.
