Lesson 14 of 64
Stock, finance & operations
Organise warehouse racks, shelves and bins
Track stock placement within a location and move quantities between shelves or bins.
Before you begin
Select a permitted branch and store or warehouse with stock. Detailed racks are optional; storage starts automatically.
Step by step
- Open Storage and choose branch, then store or warehouse. Check the displayed storage path.
- When more detail is needed, add a rack, a shelf under that rack and a bin under the shelf. Use clear names and optional codes.
- Review placed stock and filter by shelf or bin. Incoming stock appears through the normal receiving workflow.
- Use Bulk move to select source and destination positions within the selected location, then choose actual products and quantities.
- Confirm the move and review history. Use supported priority, rename or disable controls only for the intended position.
Check the result
Source and destination placement should agree with the goods moved; moving bins is not a new purchase.
Common question
Do I have to create racks before receiving stock?
No. Automatic storage works without detailed setup; add racks, shelves and bins when the business needs finer placement.
