Lesson 45 of 64
Stock, finance & operations
Review production history and correct a completed batch
Trace completed output to materials and accounting, preserving the original batch when corrections are needed.
Before you begin
Identify the original batch, error type and current stock, with owner review for posted corrections.
Step by step
- Open Production History and locate the exact batch using product, date, location and reference.
- Inspect output, consumed materials, costs and linked entries before deciding what needs correction.
- Use the linked batch correction controls for a completed record where available and review all displayed effects with the owner.
- For a confirmed physical count error, document a separate stock correction only when appropriate. It does not reverse material usage by itself.
- Check original and correction references together. Use Legacy History only to inspect records created by the older workflow.
Check the result
The original batch should remain traceable and corrected stock and accounting effects must agree.
Common question
Should I create another production batch to cancel the first?
No. Review the linked correction workflow; a second batch can consume more materials and duplicate finished stock.
