Lesson 8 of 64
Stock, finance & operations
Manage attendance, leave, shifts and overtime
Record the daily roster and review employee schedules before attendance affects payroll.
Before you begin
Have employee records and permission to manage attendance. Agree working days, times and payroll policy.
Step by step
- Review attendance policy: working weekdays, standard hours, grace period and whether payroll integration is enabled.
- Open Shifts to review employee schedule overrides, including overnight shifts and effective active assignments.
- Open the daily roster, choose date and branch, and record present, absent, half-day, leave or off-day status accurately.
- Review check-in/out times, approved leave and late or overtime minutes. Review overtime explicitly where pending.
- Save and inspect the roster and audit trail. Resolve incomplete attendance before payroll; respect records locked by a salary run.
Check the result
The employee, date, branch and resolved schedule should match actual attendance and approved leave.
Common question
Does every attendance record automatically deduct salary?
Effects depend on enabled payroll integration and the reviewed policy. Inspect the payroll preview before posting.
